Mindy Kaling is an American actress, writer, producer, director and star of The Mindy Project (2012).
She portrays Mindy Lahiri in The Mindy Project.

Mindy Kaling was born on June 24th, 1979. Her mother was an obstetrician/gynecologist, and her father was an architec. The two met at a hospital in Nigeria. Kaling is Bengali on her mom's side, and Tamil on her dad's side, and has an older brother named Vijay.
